Tanzania’s Jihan Dimack won the Miss Grand International 2026 crown, succeeding the Philippines’ Emma Tiglao, who made her final walk as the outgoing titleholder.

The Philippines’ Angelica Lopez, meanwhile, failed to advance to the Top 10 but took home the Best in National Costume award.

The queen’s court

The coronation also showcased strong performances from representatives of Latin America, Europe, and Asia, with Ecuador, the Netherlands, Guatemala, and Vietnam completing the competition’s five highest placements.

Ecuador’s Shyare Andrade emerged as first runner-up, finishing closest to the coveted crown. Her achievement added another notable international pageant placement for her country.

Representing Europe, Beau Megan Goos of the Netherlands secured the second runner-up position, while Guatemala’s Ximena Carrillo claimed third runner-up honors.

Vietnam’s Emoura Pham rounded out the winning circle as fourth runner-up, giving Southeast Asia a place among the competition’s top five delegates.

Winning answer

Dimack’s answer to a question about the qualities an empowered woman should possess helped her secure the crown.

She said, “I believe the quality she should possess is a kind heart, and to me, the perfect example is my mother. She’s a woman who is kind to others. She’s a woman who places others before herself. She’s a woman who is always ready to serve.

“To me, I believe that is a quality that allows you to lead with kindness. That is a quality that allows you to change the world, and that is a quality that allows you to reach a person far beyond the physical, and that is through the heart.

“And I just want to say tonight, thank you, Mom, for inspiring me to be that woman. Thank you.”

Diversity

The results reflected the diverse international representation in this year’s competition, with the highest placements going to contestants from Africa, South America, Europe, Central America, and Southeast Asia.

While the Lopez's early elimination came as a disappointment to Filipino pageant supporters, her national costume achievement remained a memorable highlight of the country’s participation in the competition.

The spotlight now belongs to Dimack as she begins her reign as Miss Grand International 2026. Her victory represents an important moment for African representation in international pageantry and further demonstrates the growing competitiveness of African beauty queens on the global stage.

As Dimack takes on the responsibilities of her new title, she joins the distinguished roster of Miss Grand International winners who have represented the organization’s message of peace and its advocacy against violence.

With Tanzania claiming the crown, Miss Grand International 2026 concludes with another international pageant milestone, celebrating beauty, cultural diversity, and the achievements of women representing their respective nations.
