Nick Vera Perez sings his way through love, service, hope

For Nick Vera Perez, success has never been measured solely by applause, albums, or the size of an audience. Its more meaningful measure can be found in the lives touched long after the music stops.
Eight years after the founding of NVP1World Entertainment, Perez has transformed what began as a platform for music and live performances into a growing movement that brings together entertainment, humanitarian work, recognition, and community service.
It is a journey that reflects his own evolution — from recording artist and performer to producer, advocate, and leader determined to give his creative work a purpose beyond the stage.
“When NVP1World Entertainment was founded, the initial focus was simply creating an elevated platform for creative expression through music and live performance,” Perez recalled.
But as the organization grew, so did its mission.
Today, NVP1World connects entertainment with advocacy through initiatives such as Smile World Charities and the NVP1World Honor Awards. Rather than treating music, service, and recognition as separate pursuits, Perez has brought them together under one vision: using creativity as a force capable of uplifting people.
Entertainment has the ability to open doors that traditional advocacy sometimes cannot, said Perez.
“Music and entertainment serve as the key that unlocks hearts and brings people together under one roof,” he said.
Honoring people who choose to serve
One of NVP1World’s most significant milestones in 2026 was the return of the NVP1World Honor Awards after a hiatus during the pandemic.
While formal recognition ceremonies had to stop during those difficult years, Perez said humanitarian efforts under Smile World Charities continued because communities still needed assistance.
The revival of the awards therefore represented something bigger than the return of an annual tradition. For Perez, it symbolized recovery, gratitude, and an opportunity to recognize individuals whose service continued even as the world faced uncertainty.
“After years of collective resilience, 2026 felt like the right time to gather in person once again, not only to celebrate survival, but to shine a spotlight on those who carried light through the darkest times,” he said.
Among those recognized was Timotea Ramos, recipient of the Legion of Honor, considered the highest distinction of the NVP1World Honor Awards.
Perez believes Ramos embodies the four pillars at the heart of the organization: Nursing, Music, Humanitarianism, and Love.
Her decades of nursing represent compassionate service to people during some of their most vulnerable moments. Her joyful personality and love of dancing reflect the uplifting spirit that NVP1World associates with music. Her willingness to help others demonstrates humanitarianism, while her empathy and generosity embody what Perez considers the most important pillar of all — love.
“Timotea Ramos exemplifies the absolute highest standard of selfless devotion and lifelong service,” he said.
For Perez, recognizing people such as Ramos also carries an important message: extraordinary impact does not always require celebrity or public attention. Sometimes, it is built quietly through years of showing up for others.
Success with a responsibility
Perez himself continues to wear several hats.
As a recording artist, performer, entertainment producer, and humanitarian advocate, he has learned to make his different worlds complement one another rather than compete for his attention.
A stage can become a place for advocacy. A concert can support a charitable project. An album can carry a message. And an entertainment organization can become a community capable of helping people beyond its immediate audience.
It is this approach that has allowed NVP1World to move beyond its beginnings.
Eight years later, Perez’s story demonstrates how an original dream does not have to remain unchanged to be successful. Sometimes, growth means allowing a dream to become bigger than the person who first imagined it.
‘Reminiscing’ and another homecoming
Even as his humanitarian work expands, Perez continues moving forward with the music that started much of his journey.
His upcoming seventh album, Reminiscing, will explore memory, love, healing, resilience, and the emotional connection people have with songs from another time.
For Perez, the project is particularly personal.
“It honors where we come from while looking forward to where we are going,” he said.
At the heart of the album is a story of love that experienced heartbreak, found healing, and eventually discovered the strength to continue. Its message reflects one of the principles Perez has increasingly embraced throughout his career — that accomplishments and material success become secondary when compared with genuine human connection.
That message will eventually find its way back to the Philippines.
Perez is planning a Manila promotional tour in May 2027, which he describes not merely as another professional engagement but as a homecoming.
He hopes to reconnect with Filipino audiences through performances while also incorporating outreach activities through Smile World Charities.
