After years of choosing privacy over public discussion, Queenie Padilla has confirmed that her marriage to Pakistani businessman Usama Mir has officially come to an end, marking what she describes as the closing of a significant chapter in her life.
The daughter of Robin Padilla and Liezel Sicangco shared the update through a heartfelt social media post, saying she has found lasting peace and is now fully focused on her future.
“Alhamdulillah. I’ve reached a place in my life where my peace is absolute and my path is clear.”
Padilla explained that her decision to remain quiet over the past two years was intentional, saying it allowed her to protect the life she had rebuilt after the separation.
“My silence was never confusion or weakness. It was a conscious choice to protect the life I’ve built since closing that chapter.”
She also clarified misconceptions surrounding the dissolution of her marriage, revealing that the divorce became final late last year. Padilla emphasized that the process was completed through faskh, an Islamic judicial dissolution of marriage, rather than talaq, adding that the ruling carries conditions that prevent reconciliation with her former husband.
Having moved forward emotionally and spiritually, she appealed to the public not to define her by her past.
“I have been at peace for a long while now, and I no longer recognize myself in any story that tries to drag me backward.”
Padilla shared that her priorities now revolve around strengthening her faith, pursuing personal growth, and embracing the blessings that come with letting go. She also asked supporters to keep her in their prayers as she begins a new chapter in life.
While discussing her experience, she underscored that her story should not be viewed as an endorsement of divorce. Instead, she described it as a difficult final option when a marriage can no longer provide the love, compassion, and mercy that form its foundation.
Queenie married Usama Mir in 2012 after stepping away from the entertainment industry to devote herself to her Islamic faith. The former couple welcomed their daughter in 2017. With the legal process now complete, Padilla says she is looking ahead with clarity, gratitude, and hope for the future.
