Showbiz’s low-key romances

After high-profile breakups, several celebrities who have found new love are keeping their relationships low-key, choosing a serene private life over noisy social media exposure.

Long rumored to have moved on from her 12-year romance with Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo appears to favor a quiet love life with Lucena Mayor Mark Alcala. While many of their outings have surfaced online, the couple has never been photographed together. Despite public appearances, they manage to maintain privacy and discretion even when dating openly.

Meanwhile, Daniel Padilla has taken a different approach with his Incognito co-star Kaila Estrada. Unlike Bernardo, Padilla has been seen on multiple public dates with Estrada, suggesting a “what you see is what you get” dynamic.

Carla Abellana, following a widely publicized marital split from Tom Rodriguez, has dropped subtle hints about a new romance. She first shared a photo of a man’s shoes while out for dinner, later identified as Dr. Reginald Santos, reportedly her childhood sweetheart.

In recent interviews promoting her Metro Manila Film Festival movie, Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins, Abellana was asked about circulating wedding rumors. She neither confirmed nor denied them, choosing to keep the matter private.

Richard Gutierrez, long separated from Sarah Lahbati, has also been romantically linked to Barbie Imperial. The pair were spotted together at a Halloween party, The New Nocturnals, where Gutierrez dressed as Batman’s villain Two-Face and Imperial as a siren.

Despite public appearances, Gutierrez and Imperial are keeping their romance steady and low-profile — free of drama and speculation.

In an era where celebrity relationships are often broadcasted for public consumption, these stars prove that love can thrive quietly, away from the spotlight.
