Is the joke on you, Lolit Solis?

Talent manager Lolit Solis can't seem to get over her anger at two persons whom she felt scammed her ward Christopher de Leon of P700,000.

In her recent Instagram post, Solis said:  "Imagine mo na may anak si Mangundadato kay Ynez pero nagawa pa nila maghati ni Ana 'mark up' ng 350K each mula sa nabudol nilang 700K kay Christopher de Leon sa nakuhang TF kay Mangundadato (Can you imagine if, say, Ynez had a child with Mangundadato but she and Ana ‘mark up’ still shared 350K each from the 700K they scammed from Christopher de Leon ‘s talent fee from Mangundadato).”

Solis seems to have conveniently forgotten that one time she asked her wards to gather together for a pictorial since their last publicity photos were already dated. The pictorial went through with her unsuspecting wards believing her pretense that it was just that — a pictorial.

But there was more to it than what it seemed.

Solis gave her wards’ photos to Mayor Enrico Roque, who then issued her a check of one million as he used the said photos for tarpaulins for his cold cuts business.

“Don’t tell my wards that you gave me one million, ha,” Solis reportedly told Roque in the vernacular after receiving the check.

Solis allegedly received a weekly fee of P10,000 from Roque whenever the former greeted him in her “Alog Bati” segment in the defunct Startalk.

One time, Solis learned about a presscon organized by Cristy Fermin for Roque and she had herself invited by calling Fermin’s staff. Solis is said to have learned about the media huddle through writer Allan Diones whom she allowed to live in the condo unit given to her by the late Regal matriarch Mother Lily.

“(I think the worst scam of all is one that is done by people you know),” Solis said in her post.

So, who’s the big joker now?

Vice Ganda’s advice to lawmakers

It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda reminded the audience of the number one noontime show about branches of government — executive, legislative and judiciary.

She then asked who is in charge of the lawmaking process.

Vice Ganda reminded the audience by saying:

“Legislative, yan ‘yung branch ng Kongreso at saka ng Senado. Ang trabaho talaga nila ay gumawa ng batas. Kaya ang dapat na iboboto natin ay yung gagawa ng batas, yung may alam na gawing batas, at may planong gumawa ng batas (Legislative, that’s the branch of Congress and Senate. Their work is to make laws. So we should vote for those who can make laws, who know how to make laws and have plans to do laws),” she said.

“Ang Kongreso at Senado, ang ginagawa po niyan talaga ay gumagawa ng batas — hindi nagbibigay ng ayuda (The Congress and the Senate, what they are supposed to do is make laws -- not to give aid),” Vice Ganda added.

Nadine Lustre laments fish sold in the streets

Actor Nadine Lustre can’t help but feel great frustration whenever she sees fish in plastic bags being sold in the streets.

In her latest Instagram story, she articulated her feelings for marine animals sold in plastic bags.

“Seeing fish sold in plastic bags on the street today broke my heart. Trapped in tiny, oxygen-deprived spaces, these fish suffer from extreme stress, suffocation and ammonia poisoning from their own waste. I wanted to buy them just to set them free, but I know that would only fuel the demand. Wishing for a world where animals aren’t commodities, but living beings deserving of respect,” Nadine wrote in her post.

Shining on her own

Finally, Kaila Estrada has successfully freed herself from the “anak ni Janice” moniker.

Today, she’s no longer living in the shadows of her popular parents, Janice de Belen and John Estrada.

Kaila has found her rightful niche in acting. With her initial foray in acting as Raven in Viral Scandal, the young actor flexed her acting muscles to the hilt.

Then, she had everyone noticing her acting mettle some more in Can’t Buy Me Love, Linlang and now Incognito where she plays an IT expert and hacker. As Max Alvero, Kaila gets to dabble in fighting scenes and gun firing.
