Michael V. is embracing a new television challenge with excitement and gratitude as he temporarily takes over the hosting duties of “Family Feud Philippines,” a role closely associated with Dingdong Dantes.

During his guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the veteran comedian revealed that Dingdong personally reached out to him even before everything surrounding his stint on the game show had been finalized.

According to Bitoy, Dingdong was in the United States when he sent the message congratulating him and expressing his happiness that Michael V. would be stepping in for him.

“Parang hindi pa nga namin naisasara ’yung deal ng wife ko, ng manager ko, kinongratulate na niya agad,” Michael V. recalled.

More than simply offering congratulations, Dingdong reportedly welcomed the development with enthusiasm and positivity—something Michael V. deeply appreciated as he prepared to enter unfamiliar territory.

The comedian admitted that taking on the assignment also came with a sense of honor. While audiences have known him for decades through comedy, acting, music and television, hosting “Family Feud” gives him another opportunity to show a different side of himself.

“Ako rin naman honored talaga ako. Masaya at tsaka exhilarating,” he said.

Before facing the cameras for his dry run, Michael V. received another meaningful gesture from Dingdong: the longtime “Family Feud” host personally joined him as he familiarized himself with the program.

For Bitoy, having someone he already knows and respects supporting him made the transition more enjoyable.

“Wala akong ibang naramdaman kundi excitement, tawanan at tsaka to be with the company na medyo familiar sa akin, nakakatuwa,” he shared.

Michael V. also expressed appreciation to the people behind the program for entrusting him with the temporary hosting assignment.

“At maraming salamat, Family Feud, for giving me this opportunity,” he added.

Rather than treating the hosting change simply as another television job, Michael V. appears to be entering the “Family Feud” stage with the encouragement of the man whose place he will temporarily occupy. And with Dingdong personally showing his support, Bitoy begins this new assignment not as a stranger stepping into someone else’s territory, but as a colleague warmly welcomed into the “Family Feud” family.
