Angelica Lopez has become the first titleholder of Reina Filipinas Grand International after winning the crown during the pageant's inaugural coronation night on 7 August.
Representing Palawan, Lopez topped the competition to earn the right to represent the Philippines at Miss Grand International 2026 in India this October. She succeeds Emma Mary Tiglao as the country's delegate to the international pageant.
The victory marks another milestone in Lopez's pageant career, which spans several national competitions.
She first gained national exposure as a contestant in Miss Universe Philippines 2022, where she finished in the Top 16. A year later, she joined Binibining Pilipinas and won the Binibining Pilipinas International 2023 title, earning the opportunity to represent the Philippines at Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan.
With her Reina Filipinas win, Lopez will once again compete on the international stage—this time as the inaugural representative of the newly established Reina Filipinas organization headed by footwear designer Jojo Bragais.
Outside pageantry, Lopez has described herself as a self-made woman and the breadwinner of her family. She has said these experiences inspired her advocacy of expanding educational opportunities for disadvantaged and marginalized children, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Lopez now turns her attention to Miss Grand International 2026, where she will carry the Philippine flag and seek the country's next international pageant title.
