The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) conducted a raid at a warehouse that serves as a meth laboratory inside the Industrial at Barangay Veinte Reales in Valenzuel City, Bulacan on 22 February 2026.
During a press conference held at the Valenzuela City Hall, PDEA Director General Isagani Nerez said that the teams from PDEA and Valenzuela City Police Station PNP uncovered the shabu laboratory.
He added that the laboratory contained 906.4064 kilos of shabu worth P6,163,563,520 and drug equipment, and 64.15 liters of liquid methamphetamine worth P436,220,000.
A 30-year-old suspect identified by the alias "JP" (or "John"), a resident of Cubao, Quezon City, was apprehended.
Nerez described this as one of the most significant drug laboratory discoveries in recent years, preventing nearly one metric ton of illegal drugs from reaching the streets.
Authorities are conducting further investigation to determine the extent of the operation and identity of other individuals involved in the illegal drug network.
The suspect is now under the custody of the arresting unit and will face charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) Section 8 (Manufacture of dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
