Volvo Cars Philippines has announced a limited-time discount on the XC90 T8 and XC60 T8 plug-in hybrid SUVs.
The nationwide promo is offered through Hariphil Asia Resources Inc., the official distributor of Volvo passenger vehicles in the country.
Both models come with a P500,000 discount from their suggested retail prices.
The discount brings Volvo’s plug-in hybrid lineup within reach of buyers who want lower fuel use without shifting to full battery-electric vehicles.
The XC90 T8 Plug-in Hybrid, Volvo’s flagship seven-seat SUV, is now offered at a lower price from its original P5.45 million tag.
Volvo said the XC90 T8 can travel up to 77 kilometers on electric power alone under ideal conditions, which covers most daily driving needs.
The XC60 T8 Plug-in Hybrid, a five-seat SUV and Volvo’s best-selling model worldwide, also receives the same P500,000 discount from its P4.55 million price.
According to Volvo, the XC60 T8 offers up to 80 kilometers of electric-only range. Similar to the XC90 T8 Plug-in Hybrid, once electric power is used up, the system shifts back to hybrid mode to manage fuel use on longer trips.
Volvo promotes plug-in hybrids as an option for drivers who want lower emissions and fuel use without giving up a conventional engine.
