Television host Kris Aquino has hinted at a possible return to interviews after sharing a health update on social media following months of illness and recovery.
In a recent post, Aquino disclosed that a routine medical procedure earlier this month led to a serious complication that temporarily affected her breathing. She said she remains grateful after the incident and credited her medical team for their continuous care.
“I am literally so grateful to be breathing,” Aquino wrote.
She also shared that she experienced another medical emergency days later after reacting to new medication, adding that her doctors were present throughout the ordeal.
Aquino reflected on her late mother, former president Corazon Aquino, whose birthday falls on 25 January, and explained her decision to limit public disclosure about her condition.
“My mom never publicly shared the excruciating operations and procedures she endured,” Aquino wrote. “I’m now choosing to post pictures and videos but not give detailed medical info.”
The post included photos documenting her recovery and time spent with her son, Bimby Aquino Yap, as well as visits from friends. Aquino said she believes her mother’s presence helped her through the most difficult moments.
Aquino also raised the possibility of returning to interviews through a taped-as-live video podcast, provided safety protocols are observed.
“I miss doing interviews!” she wrote. “With the correct safety protocols, puwede akong mag taped-as-live video podcast.”
She asked followers for suggestions on potential content and said the project could include limited segments filmed at home.
Aquino ended her post by requesting understanding from the public and emphasizing her focus on recovery, prayer, and the hope of reaching remission.
