Kathryn Bernardo and Mark Alcala sighting: Is it a prank?

There seems to be much ado about the now-infamous sighting of Kathryn Bernardo and Lucena Mayor Mark Alcala.

A photo surfaced on social media, making it appear that Bernardo and Alcala were privately dining at what looked like a chic hotel. The photo captured a lady’s face tilted toward a man.

Netizens assumed it was Bernardo and Alcala who were captured in the photo.

But it wasn’t what it seemed. As another set of photos revealed, it was not Bernardo who was with the man netizens believed to be Alcala.

A netizen, trying to dig out more details about the photo, reached out to the uploader:

“The uploader is not accepting my messages. We both know it wasn’t Kathryn,” the netizen quipped.

Of course, it wasn’t Kathryn!

Since when would they allow someone to take a picture of them together? No — they certainly wouldn’t. Especially now, after successfully eluding the prying eyes of bashers at any event, private or otherwise.

Janella Salvador, Klea Pineda seal relationship with a kiss

Janella Salvador and Klea Pineda, seemingly aware of public speculation about them, appeared to seal their relationship with a kiss.

Social media is abuzz with videos and photos of the pair partying in La Union, specifically at Flotsam and Jetsam Beach Resort.

A TikTok video posted Saturday, 27 December, is currently circulating online, showing the two dancing near the DJ booth. At one point during their dance, Pineda appears to seal their relationship by planting a kiss on Salvador’s lips.

Prior to that, Pineda shared photos on Instagram from their trip to Los Angeles, California, where they were photographed strolling around Pacific Park at the Santa Monica Pier and dining out. They were so cozy with each other that they seemed unconcerned about their celebrity status.

A few weeks earlier, Pineda picked up Salvador using a private plane and posted photos of the trip on her social media accounts.

Indeed, it was a Merry Christmas for Pineda and Salvador.

However, not all reactions to the couple’s public display of affection have been positive. One commenter wrote about the What Lies Beneath star:

“Janella needs to take care of her career more seriously. She gets so many opportunities, and it’s always her private life that creates all the drama affecting her career.”
