Ellen Adarna clears Derek Ramsay’s ex of ‘side chick’ claim

Ellen Adarna dismissed rumors that Derek Ramsay’s ex-girlfriend, Alexa, was her husband’s side chick.

“Mga Marites, stop blaming and messaging Alexa (Derek’s ex) for being the side chick. She reached out to me directly — and this is what she said. She asked me to share it publicly so people know her truth. And for the record, I only received this message today,” Adarna wrote on her Instagram Stories.

She then shared Alexa’s full message to her.

“Hi Ellen, I’ve been hesitant to say anything for a long time because I’ve finally built some peace in my life, and I’ve been very protective of that. But with everything that has been coming out publicly, and with strangers accusing me of being the ‘side chick,’ I felt it might be important to reach out to you. I know those assumptions exist because I stayed silent during those years while he freely told people his version of the story after I finally walked away from the relationship.”

Alexa claimed she was manipulated by Ramsay.

“I don’t know what you know, but we were together for several years when I was much younger, and it took a long time for me to understand the emotional and psychological patterns I was caught in. During that time, I made choices that were completely out of character for me. I carried a lot of shame, and for years, I blamed myself for everything that happened. But in saying this, I’m not putting all the blame on him. I enabled the behavior each time I chose to stay or when I caved. He saw my weakness and used it to his advantage. Now, I didn’t yet understand what manipulation looked like or how deeply it can distort your sense of self,” she told Adarna.

She expressed gratitude to Adarna for breaking her silence and going public about what she went through.

“I’m sorry that you had to go through what you did. No one deserved that, man or woman. And I’m so glad you’ve broken the silence and hopefully that very toxic cycle. I’ve realized that because you did that, the wound I carried for so many years has finally healed. Thank you for being the voice I never had. For what it’s worth, you have all my support,” she wrote.

Not the real McCoy

The guy who peeped through the curtain while Kathryn Bernardo was explaining the procedures she went through with her mom, Min Bernardo, was not Lucena Mayor Mark Alcala.

The man caught on camera turned out to be the social media manager of the beauty clinic Bernardo frequents. Netizens speculated it was Alcala because he resembles the Lucena mayor.

Unwittingly, the social media manager was dragged into the controversy simply because he looks like Alcala.

Anyway, we heard rumors that Alcala was more than willing to make his relationship with Bernardo public, but it was the Kapamilya actress who was stopping him from doing so.
