A supervisor and dispatch coordinator of Global Pacific Logistics lost his firearm to an unidentified man in Cainta, Rizal, on Wednesday night.
The theft occurred at about 9:15 p.m. at Unit 1, 2nd Floor, Depatula Apartment, Block 7 Lot 3, Sage Brush Street, Phase 6, Greenland Subdivision, Barangay San Juan, Cainta.
Police identified the victim as Raphael, 31, who discovered the break-in upon arriving at his rented apartment and finding the door already open.
He later found that his Armscor M1911 A1 FS GI .45 caliber pistol, with Serial No. 1421321, along with four magazines loaded with live ammunition, had been stolen. The firearm was reportedly kept in a brown sling bag placed on top of a durabox.
The victim immediately reported the incident to the Cainta Municipal Police Station. Authorities have launched a follow-up investigation to identify the suspect and recover the stolen firearm.
