The NUSTAR Resort & Casino announces the opening of NUSTAR Hotel on 8 May 2025, ushering a new era of luxury hospitality in Cebu.
The highly-anticipated debut of the 223-room NUSTAR Hotel marks an important milestone for NUSTAR and embodies the hotel’s brand ethos, a characteristic blend of refined luxury, worldclass accommodations and authentic heartfelt service.
The ultra-luxury hotel is the second of three hotels to open at the NUSTAR Resort & Casino complex. Since the launch of the integrated resort in May 2022, it has become an icon among the most recognizable skylines in Cebu.
HKS Singapore, the concept architects behind NUSTAR, designed the resort to dominate the SRP waterfront: The Fili Hotel and NUSTAR Hotel towers rise above the integrated casino and luxury mall complex, sprawling over 22-acres of stunning ocean frontage.
Located along the south coastal road of Cebu City, NUSTAR Hotel is approximately 30-minutes from the Mactan-Cebu International Airport and 15 minutes to the city’s historic and commercial districts.
Viewpoints are a key design driver for the project. The hotel towers are positioned to take full advantage of spectacular sea and Cebu skyline views.
Guest rooms are generous in size and the largest in the city. Signature rooms start from 52 square-meters while suites range between 77 and 225 square-meters, all with full-length windows offering sweeping vistas of the sea or city.
Luminous marble bathrooms are bathed in natural light and feature a deep soaking tub, Guerlain hair and skin care products and leading-edge intelligent facilities.
Bedrooms offer a calming sanctuary, with a soft palette of honey-toned wood offset by light earth colours and deep maroon accents. These complement the expansive views of azure seas and sunset hues of the island.

The 26-story hotel tower is crowned by a glass-floored cantilevered viewing deck designed with principles of feng shui. Set to open later this year, the open-air Skydeck with far-reaching unobstructed views of the sea and city will become a must-visit tour destination.
Top designers from Hirsch Bedner Hong Kong created the hotel’s interiors with a central vision of timeless elegance and bold modernity, drawing inspiration from the architectural style of Compania Maritima, a neoclassical heritage building at the South Cebu port area.
The entrance opens to grand hallway with crystal chandeliers and leads to an expansive lounge with tall colonial columns and arches, cream-toned marble floors, antique-finish bronze mirrors and 10-meter-high windows with sweeping ocean views.
The bold interjection comes —installation featuring a burst of handblown glass corals in vivid ruby tones — created by international Czech artist Petra Sošťáková. The luminous rare blue onyx wall and lace-inspired columns of light from custom-designed Ferruccio Laviani lamps add modern glamour. Artful and inspiring, the lounge easily becomes Cebu’s see-and-be-seen meeting point for business & leisure.
