CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Over 1,000 Pampanga farmers received a much-needed boost on Tuesday, 25 March, with the distribution of more than P1 million in financial assistance through the Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk, and Their Families (PAFFF) program.
Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda led the distribution, where 1,090 farmers from various towns received checks.
Vice Governor Pineda noted that this represents the first batch of aid for the year, following two previous distributions in 2024.
Governor Pineda expressed gratitude to President Marcos for extending national government programs to Pampanga and increasing the number of beneficiaries. He emphasized the provincial government's ongoing commitment to agricultural development and farmer support.
In addition to the financial aid, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) has assisted farmers affected by El Niño, and the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) continues distributing seedlings and fertilizers to maintain agricultural productivity.
Deputy Speaker of the House Camille Villar and other provincial officials also joined the distribution event.
