Why we think Janine and Jericho are already a couple

When Janine Gutierrez attended the Tokyo International Film Festival, she was without a chaperone.

Whom she had in tow was her famous suitor and Lavender Fields co-star Jericho Rosales, who accompanied her at her every waking hours — from the red-carpet premiere of her movie Phantosmia to the food strip the city is most famous for to a side trip at Mt. Fuji.

Rosales, during the entire trip, was at Janine’s beck and call, following wherever she went. The actor was amazed at Gutierrez’s special talent in scrounging for the best restaurants in the capital city of the Land of the Rising Sun.

At one point during their dinner, Rosales seemingly made a slip of the tongue when he called Gutierrez “Baba.”

Isn’t “Baba” a term of endearment between couples?

At the end of the video, Rosales called Gutierrez a perfect “travel companion” for her extraordinary skills in finding the best restaurants in Tokyo.

Although there was no formal admission from either of the two, many believe that they are already a couple.

Boy Abunda bothered by Rufa Mae Quinto’s warrants of arrest

Being a manager and a friend, Boy Abunda admitted Monday, 2 December, that he was bothered for his ward, Rufa Mae Quinto.

Abunda confirmed in his show, Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, that Quinto indeed has 14 warrants of arrest for an alleged investment scam of a beauty clinic that she endorses.

“Kinukumpirma ko pong merong mga warrant of arrest si Rufa Mae kaya medyo nababahala po ako bilang kaibigan at (I do confirm that Rufa Mae has warrants of arrest so I am a bit worried as a friend and) manager,” he said.

“I am alarmed as a member of this industry and as a manager. Para bagang gusto kong balikan lahat ang mga kontrata dahil ang endorser ba ay salesman (It’s like I want to review all the contracts because I (want to know): Is the endorser a salesman?)” he said.

Baffled, he asked, “Kapag sinabi kong bumili ho kayo ng donut ay ‘yung warranty ba na ‘yon, I mean, ano ba ang ating responsibilidad (When I say you buy a donut, is the warranty, I mean, what is the responsibility)?

“Kasi, sa aking pagkakaunawa bilang manager, ang nagwa-warrant po sa publiko na ang produkto ay maganda, matino ang serbisyo ay ang may-ari ng kompanya. Ang endorser ay maniniwala lamang sa sinasabi ng may-ari (Because, in my understanding as a manager, those who warrant the public that the product is good, the service is right, is the owner of the company. The endorser just believes what the owner says).

“It’s a very complicated case pero palaisipan po ito (but this is a puzzle).. I think the industry as a whole — we should be studying our contracts more,” he noted.

Abunda wondered that if one encourages others to buy a house or a condo, where does the responsibility start and end.

“Do I own the company? Am I liable, halimbawa, e, hindi pala masyadong kagandahan (for example, if it wasn’t that beautiful)? I have so many questions,” he said.

Will ‘It’s Showtime’ remain in the Kapuso channel?

Is the fate of It’s Showtime in the Kapuso network hanging on a thread?

This is the question most netizens ask now that rumors say the number one noontime show is only good until the end of December.

But its fate will be known in the weeks to come as there are negotiations going on between the ABS-CBN management and the Kapuso network.

We think that booting out the show is a bad business decision considering that It’s Showtime is currently the number one noontime show in the land. It remains the top-rating noontime show, toppling its biggest competitor in its timeslot.
