Ana Ramsey leaves SOU for new hosting gig

On to her next chapter, host Ana Ramsey, formerly of Showtime Online U (SOU), ends her role as segment host for a new show on TV5. Marking her growth in hosting and a permanent voice for MOR 101.9 in Dos, the 28-year-old DJ is now maneuvering onto new avenues.

Announced to be one of the main hosts for Willie Revillame’s upcoming variety program, Ramsey is set for a wider audience. Opening doors for her passion in hosting, the show will be Ana’s first job under new management.

As she left SOU, the host wrote a message of gratitude in a post on X to her supporters.

“Maraming salamat po sa mahigit limang taon ng kulitan at tawanan, Madlang Onliners! Sana ay samahan at suportahan ninyo pa rin ako sa panibagong kabanata ng aking paglalakbay (Thank you for over five years of joy and laughter, Madlang Onliners! I hope for your continuous support as I move on to this new journey). Your Trendy Diva, signing off!” Ramsey expressed.

Fans are able to sympathize with the host and stressed that it’s a definite loss for SOU, some supporters also voiced out that it seems that TV5 has more money to win over Ramsey.

The upcoming Willie Revillame show will be broadcast on TV5 Entertainment, as it was signed under Manny Pangilinan’s MediaQuest Ventures, a subsidiary of the network. The said contract also made Revillame the newest creative director for new MediaQuest programs.

Ana Ramsey will be taking over as the upcoming show’s host as she appeared recently on some interviews for the network. Dates for the night program is yet to be announced.
