Korean stars Choo Youngwoo and Kim Sohyun take on the roles of an unexpected pair in the upcoming melodrama Between Steps, a story about love, healing, and finding connection in unlikely circumstances.
Premiering on Disney+ Philippines on 5 October, the 12-part series follows Park Minjae, a doctoral candidate and former swimmer who gives up his athletic dreams after losing a leg. Reserved and afraid of getting hurt, Minjae has kept romance at a distance — until he meets Lim Yujin, a transfer student whose bold personality challenges everything he knows.
Known as a troublemaker and his complete opposite, Yujin enters Minjae’s world after being forced to shift paths from her Clothing and Textiles course. As the two navigate their differences, an unexpected bond begins to develop between them.
Choo Youngwoo, known for Head Over Heels and The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, portrays Minjae, while Kim Sohyun of Good Boy and Love Alarm plays Youjin.
The cast includes Kim Min-seok as Im Yuseong, Shim Hye-jin as Hong Eunju, Seo Jung-yeon as Yujin’s mother, and Park Hyuk-kwon as Yujin’s father.
Written by Min Hyojung and directed by Ahn Pansuk, Between Steps explores how two people carrying their own struggles can find comfort and love through each other.
New episodes will stream every Monday and Tuesday beginning 5 October.
