BAGUIO CITY — Lower temperatures have arrived in the City of Pines as the onset of the ember months brings cooler weather alongside occasional rain showers.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration recorded a low temperature of 16 degrees Celsius at 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Weather forecasters expect temperatures to reach a high of 21 degrees Celsius during the day.

Atmospheric conditions across Baguio City include cloudy morning skies, strong winds, and a moderate chance of rain. Weather officials advised residents and visitors to carry rain gear and exercise caution when traveling outdoors.

Benguet province, including Baguio City, is expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall Wednesday, with higher precipitation forecasts across elevated and mountainous terrain.

Meteorologists note that the regional rainy season typically begins to wind down between September and October, transitioning into cooler air that leads into cold weather from November through February.
