The planned rehabilitation of NAIA Terminal 4 will no longer push through, Manila International Airport Authority General Manager Eric Ines confirmed. The site will instead be converted into an aircraft parking area as NAIA handles increasing passenger and flight volumes.

Ines said construction of the new Terminal 5 is being expedited, with completion targeted by the end of 2027.
