The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested three suspects who allegedly robbed a victim in Bakakeng Central, Baguio City, and later apprehended them in Balanga City, Bataan, on 9 August 2026.

Bataan Police Provincial Office Director Police Col. Marites A. Salvadora said the suspects allegedly carried out the robbery in Baguio City and were pursued by police in a hot pursuit operation at around 2:30 a.m. on 9 August.

Salvadora said the Balanga City Police Station Tracker Team, in coordination with the Regional Intelligence Division 3, Regional Intelligence and Detective Management Division 3, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit 3, Bataan CIDG Provincial Field Unit, Bataan Police Intelligence Unit, Bataan Police Intelligence and Detective Management Unit, Regional Highway Patrol Unit 3, RID of Police Regional Office-Cordillera Administrative Region, Criminal Investigation Unit of Balanga City Police Station, RHPU-CAR, RFU-CAR, Baguio City Police Stations 4, 6 and 10, and La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, conducted a follow-up investigation and hot pursuit operation.

The operation resulted in the arrest of the three suspects and the recovery of stolen items and the alleged getaway vehicle.

The suspects and recovered items are now under the custody of the Balanga City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition. A criminal complaint for robbery is being filed against the suspects.

The alleged getaway vehicle was impounded by the RHPU-CAR for documentation and proper disposition.

Salvadora warned individuals planning to engage in illegal activities to stop, stressing that the Bataan police remain committed to ensuring that criminals are brought to justice and held accountable.
