DoJ unveils new multi-purpose facility

JUSTICE Secretary Fredderick Vida
Justice Secretary Fredderick A. Vida led the inauguration of a new multi-purpose facility designed to support Department of Justice (DoJ) personnel and partner agencies operating throughout the Cordillera Administrative Region.
The inauguration of the DoJ Cottage took place 24 June and officials and staff joined representatives from the regional prosecution office, the Baguio Office of the City Prosecutor, the National Bureau of Investigation, and the Registry of Deeds for a Mass and a formal blessing of the property.
The facility will serve as official lodging for department officials and personnel on regional assignments. It will also function as a venue for institutional training, conferences, and collaborative administrative activities.
“The DoJ Cottage is more than a shelter; it is an investment in the well-being and productivity of those who serve the public,” Vida said.
“Guided by the Bagong Pilipinas vision of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., this facility embodies our unyielding resolve to uphold the rule of law and deliver real justice for every Filipino,” he added.
Designed to accommodate prosecutors, administrative staff and visiting personnel from attached agencies, the cottage aims to eliminate logistical constraints during regional operations and provide a secure, centralized base for legal work in the highlands.
The building features modern lodging amenities, flexible meeting rooms adaptable for seminars, and support services tailored to facilitate extended stays during long-term regional projects and deployments.
Department officials said opening the facility underscores the DoJ’s broader commitment to expanding its regional presence, improving employee welfare, and accelerating public service delivery across the provinces.
