CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Provincial Government here has officially recognized Chris Lorenz Tanglao Fabian as the “Pride of Pampanga” through Resolution 10319, citing his extraordinary courage and selfless sacrifice during the shooting incident at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City.
Fabian, whose family traces roots to Barangay Lourdes in Minalin and Barangay Dau in Mabalacat City, acted to protect his teachers and classmates when the incident occurred, losing his life in the process.
Earlier, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led a provincial delegation, including Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco, Minalin Mayor Philip Naguit, and 4th District Board Member Kaye Naguit, to Tacloban City.
The team personally conveyed condolences, turned over the official resolution, and extended financial assistance to the bereaved family. They also paid a courtesy call on Leyte Governor Carlos Petilla.
Pineda said Fabian’s heroism proves that true bravery is measured not by age, but by the willingness to risk oneself for others.
“His act will be recorded in the province’s history and serve as an inspiration to the youth,” said Pineda.
