The Provincial Government of Isabela on Friday hosted its Pride Festival, bringing together members of the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, youth organizations, and advocates to promote diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect.
Held as part of the nationwide observance of Pride Month, the festival highlighted the province's commitment to recognizing social diversity and fostering a culture of equality.
Provincial officials said the celebration reflects Isabela's continuing efforts to create an inclusive community where residents from all backgrounds are respected and valued.
The event drew participation from members of the LGBTQIA+ community, advocacy groups, and youth organizations, who joined activities aimed at promoting acceptance and solidarity.
Isabela is among several local government units in Northern Luzon observing Pride Month through community-based activities.
In Baguio City, Pride Month celebrations included a Pride Run, a fashion show, and regional assemblies organized by LGBTQIA+ organizations. Communities in La Union also held parades and advocacy events highlighting equal rights and inclusion.
The provincial government encouraged residents to take part in the festival, saying it provides an opportunity to strengthen community solidarity while advancing the province's goal of building a more inclusive and respectful society.
