It seems that Andrea Brillantes has conveniently moved on from her failed relationship with Filipino-Jordanian boyfriend Sam Fernandez. Just two months after her breakup with Fernandez, Brillantes has found a new love, another basketball player, 21-year-old Franchesko Juan Capistrano from Lucban, Quezon. He played for Enderun Titans and the San Juan Knights in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.
Brillantes was with Capistrano and a few other guys when she went to La Union. Now, the actress is reportedly frequently seen in Quezon. There was even one group photo which showed Brillantes with the Capistranos who own a resort and hotel in the South province.
John Lapus not mad at Esnyr
Comedian and director Aktor John “Sweet” Lapus, in a recent interview, addressed rumors that he was miffed at Esnyr Ranollo’s unprofessionalism.
It all stemmed from Ranollo’s tardiness during the shooting of Call Me Mother which is the official Metro Manila Film Festival entry of Nadine Lustre and Vice Ganda.
“Nale-late talaga ‘yung bata (Esnyr) kasi nagga-Grab pa siya, although mali pa rin ‘yun, but hindi naman siya umabot na nagiging cause of delay ng shoot because you have to understand si Vice nanggagaling pa ng Showtime (He was really late because he uses Grab, although that is really wrong, but he didn’t get to be the cause of delay because you have to understand that Vice Ganda is coming from Showtime),” Lapus exclaimed.
So, in fairness naman kay Esnyr hindi naman siya mas late pa kay Vice, ‘yun talaga magre-react na ako... Hindi totoong galit ako kay Esnyr. Hindi ko siya tinarayan (So, in fairness to Esnyr, he is not more late than Vice, that would make me react..it’s not true that I’m mad at Esnyr. I did not scold him),” he added.
Zack Tabudlo addresses ‘smelly’ rumors
Singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo, exasperated over persistent rumors that he has foul odor, has decided to address the embarrassing issue, which stemmed from his performance during the UST Paskuhan 2025 concert.
A short video of his performance was uploaded on UST Tiger Radio account on Facebook with this caption: “We are now caught in the Zack Tabudlo loop! Thomasians sing their hearts out together with Zack Tabudlo for the Paskuhan Concert!”
The comments were disparaging, well, mostly.
“Ang acm (asim) nyan mga te nasa may bandang barricade kami nung nag walk siya tapos kahit hindi lumapit ang lakas parin ng amoy (He smells so sour, we are at the barricade when he was walking. And even when he didn’t approach us, the smell was overempowering),” he said.
“Wrong choice of shirt no? Dapat pag concert, black sana or yung hindi masyado visible na pawis.”
“Tindi ng amoy niya beh nung anjan kami (His smell is overwhelming, we were there).”
But there were those who defended Tabudlo.
“Guys mabango talaga sha pumunta siya sa bcd before and I swear mabango siya (Guys, he smelled good when he came to bcd before and I swear he smells good).”
“Shame on everyone who is bullying him!!!”
“Guys sobrang pawisin talaga nyan ni zack. Fan here since day 1.”
“i don’t mind the smell mapanood ko lang sya ulit ng live”
Addressing the issue, Tabudlo wrote: “There were certain comments in that video regarding how I smell...it’s just very bad...I guess I’ve been in this industry for a while that I’ve gone through so much rumors that it numbs you and you get to a certain point where you see these comments, it sucks but at the same time you’re like. ‘Damn, people don’t change.’”
