Two suspects were collared by authorities for alleged robbery-extortion in Kasiglahan Village, Barangay San Jose, Rodriguez, Rizal on Tuesday night.
Nabbed during the entrapment operation were suspects identified only by their aliases "Jason" and "Irah Mae" — both residents of the municipality.
The two were arrested at a sari-sari store at the back of Primark Kasiglahan, Phase 1B, Kasiglahan Village, at about 6:40 p.m.
Initial investigation showed that a female victim received a call from alias Jason demanding P5,000 in exchange for not posting her nude photo and for deleting her video.
The victim immediately reported the incident to the police, which conducted an entrapment operation with intel operatives at the said sari-sari store, resulting in the arrest of the suspects.
Confiscated from them were five pieces of one-thousand peso bills used as marked money and a Vivo mobile phone.
The arrested suspects are now detained at the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station while pertinent documents are being prepared for inquest proceedings.
