Authorities confiscated over P260,000 worth of illegal drugs from two suspects, including a female, in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Guinayang on Sunday night.
The arrested suspects, identified only by their aliases “Ronald” and “Anjenet,” are both residents of Barangay Guinayang, San Mateo.
Operatives of the San Mateo Municipal Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the operation around 10:32 p.m. along Road 2, Gravel Pit Street.
Seized from the suspects were 12 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 38.45 grams, with an estimated street value of P261,460. Police also recovered a black coin purse, a digital weighing scale, two Android phones, and P500 used as buy-bust money.
The suspects are currently detained at the San Mateo Police Station custodial facility and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
