A man wanted for murder in the Calabarzon Region was arrested Tuesday night during a successful operation conducted by joint operatives of the PIT-Rizal RIU4A and the Taytay Municipal Police Station's warrant tracker team in Barangay Dolores, Taytay, Rizal.
The suspect, identified only as alias "Dodi," 38, and a resident of Barangay Sta. Ana, Taytay, was apprehended based on a warrant of arrest issued by the Antipolo City Regional Trial Court Branch 71 on 27 January 2014. No bail was recommended.
According to the investigation, the case stemmed from an incident on 28 February 2013, in which Dodi allegedly shot and killed a victim, resulting in the latter’s instantaneous death.
The suspect is currently detained at the custodial facility of the Taytay Municipal Police Station. Authorities have informed the issuing court to proceed with due legal process.
