A 40-year-old vendor was critically injured in a shooting incident in Rodriguez, Rizal, following a stoning attack outside his home early Friday.
The incident happened around 12:30 AM at Joville 3 Village, Barangay San Isidro. According to police, the victim—identified only as "Kevin"—was inside his house when he heard stones hitting his property. Upon checking, he discovered his CCTV camera had been destroyed.
Kevin said he saw a group of young men walking away and decided to pursue them. But upon reaching a dark portion of the area, two unidentified assailants armed with unknown firearms opened fire on him.
He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to Casimiro Ynares Hospital for treatment.
Police recovered two spent 9mm cartridges at the scene. Rodriguez Municipal Police have launched a manhunt and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspects.
