PRO1 arrests 205 wanted persons in August manhunt operations

The Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) arrested 205 wanted persons in intensified manhunt operations across the Ilocos Region from 1 to 31 August 2026.
Of those arrested, 36 were classified as Most Wanted Persons—10 at the regional level, six at the provincial level, three at the city level, and 17 at the municipal level. Another 169 individuals classified as Other Wanted Persons were arrested in separate operations conducted by PRO1 units across the region.
PRO1 said the operations were supported by intelligence-driven efforts, closer coordination among police units, and the prompt implementation of warrants of arrest. The campaign is part of the Focused Agenda of Chief, Philippine National Police, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO), which aims to strengthen police operations and ensure effective enforcement of the law.
PRO1 Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Crisaleo R. Tolentino said the regional police office remains committed to ensuring that individuals wanted in connection with criminal cases are brought before the proper authorities.
“Ang bawat pag-aresto ay isang hakbang tungo sa pananagutan at pagpapanatili ng kaayusan sa ating mga komunidad. Sisiguruhin natin na ang mga taong pinaghahanap ng batas ay maihaharap sa tamang proseso at maaaksyunan ang kanilang mga kaso alinsunod sa batas,” Tolentino said.
Tolentino added that PRO1 would continue its manhunt operations while ensuring that all arrests are conducted in accordance with established legal procedures.
