It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino can’t seem to hide from the prying public.
While enjoying their well-deserved vacation together in the very exclusive Amanpulo, enjoying the tranquil beauty of the beach and casual lounging at the resort’s world-famous clubhouse, Chiu and Avelino unwittingly found themselves on the Internet, sparking rumors that they had crossed the boundaries of friendship.
The leaked photos have fanned speculations that their onscreen pairing has gone beyond the love team phase as they are already a couple.
On her recent Instagram dump, Chiu bid goodbye to her My Love Will Make You Disappear character Sari.
“A thank you, long overdue. Grateful beyond words for this beautiful journey with #MyLoveWillMakeYouDisappear. This movie came a long way-with its fair share of bumps and unexpected turns-but through it all, I’m deeply thankful for the opportunity given to me,” she wrote.
“In a time where so much content is just a click away, being trusted to lead a film made for the big screen feels incredibly special. Thank you @starcinema, 173M and counting (highest grossing Filipino film of 2025 as of to date),” she added.
Then she thanked “the amazing people behind the scenes-promo team, creatives, writers, direk @covidanes, my wonderful co-stars, and my leading man @pauavelino thank you for your heart, time, and dedication.”
“To everyone who organized block screenings here in PH and across the world, to the Kimmers, Kimsters, Paus and KimPaus-your love, effort, and endless support never fail to lift us. To all the malls we visited, maraming salamat sa mainit na pagtanggap and to everyone who watched the film maraming maraming salamat po,” she added.
Why Kobe Paras isn’t
into monkey branching
Kyline Alcantara’s ex-boyfriend, Kobe Paras, is seemingly not into monkey branching.
This is what newbie singer Rhaila Tomakin made him appear to be when she denied with seeming vehemence that she is currently Paras’ latest inamorata after his breakup with Alcantara.
Monkey branching is a term that describes a guy who engages in another relationship even while he’s still in a romance.
Tomakin flatly denied that she’s into the basketball star, as “Kobe is not my type.”
“I am not into sports people. I am into business people. I like a guy who can stimulate my mind. I want a guy who knows how to be a man. I don’t want to have to teach someone how to be a man. I need maturity, I want older guys,” she explained, thereby exonerating Paras from unjustified rumors that they were an item.
Tomakin and Paras’ sighting in Bali, Indonesia, is not what it seemed.
“We are friends, really good friends, but that’s about it,” Tomakin said, noting that she knows “how easily it can be misunderstood.”
“I don’t want to disrespect anyone, but I was not trying to insert myself or hurt anyone’s feelings. It was a matter of the same place, same time. We had a simple moment. I don’t read too much into it,” she explained.
Besides, Tomakin explained that their presence together should not be sneered at, as “to my knowledge, before Bali, they were already long broken up,” referring to Alcantara and Paras’ breakup.
“It was a group trip. People think it was a honeymoon. We were all there together. It was so innocent. People just twisted it,” she stressed.
Although Tomakin does not know Alcantara, she still wishes her the best.
“I wish her all the best. I wish her more projects, more love, more happiness, because girls usually get the brunt of scrutiny, no? Grabe, lalaki usually get away scot free. Sa babae people are so critical.”
Reunited after 37 years
Did you know that Incognito stars Richard Gutierrez and Ian Veneracion first worked together 37 years ago?
The two initially worked in the 1988 movie One, Two Bato, Three, Four Bapor. They were so young then.
On Instagram, Gutierrez and Veneracion recreated their scenes together; this time, the setting was in Japan, where they did their taping for Incognito.
“Imagine, we were able to recreate our scenes together,” Veneracion told Gutierrez after they exchanged dialogue.
