Two men arrested in separate qualified theft cases




Police arrested two men wanted in separate qualified theft cases in operations conducted in San Fernando City, La Union, and Baguio City on Sept. 15.
In the first operation, carried out at about 10:28 a.m. in San Fernando City, police arrested a 32-year-old construction worker from San Tomas, Pampanga.
The operation was led by the City of San Fernando Police Station, with assistance from the La Union Provincial Investigation Detection Management Unit, La Union Provincial Intelligence Unit, Technical Support Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 1, and Regional Intelligence Division 1.
Authorities said the man was arrested on the strength of a warrant of arrest for qualified theft. The court recommended bail of P40,000.
Later that day, at about 4:55 p.m., personnel of the Agoo Municipal Police Station arrested a 43-year-old helper from La Union in Baguio City, Benguet.
Police said he was wanted for qualified theft and bail was set at P30,000.
Both suspects are being held by their respective arresting police stations pending further legal proceedings.
