Netflix is diving into another Ali Hazelwood romance, this time bringing the bestselling novel Deep End to the screen.
According to Deadline, the streaming giant has begun development on a feature film adaptation of Deep End, the instant New York Times bestselling adult romance by The Love Hypothesis author Ali Hazelwood.
The project will be produced by filmmaker Shawn Levy and Dan Levine through 21 Laps, alongside podcast host and media entrepreneur Alex Cooper and Matt Kaplan under Unwell Productions.
Originally released earlier this year, Deep End follows Scarlett Vandermeer, a collegiate diver recovering from an injury, and Lukas Blomqvist, a world champion swimmer. Their unexpected arrangement gradually turns into a romance as they navigate the pressures of elite sports, ambition and personal relationships.
The novel became another commercial success for Hazelwood, whose previous bestseller The Love Hypothesis is also being adapted into a feature film by Prime Video.
No cast, director, or production timetable has been announced. The adaptation remains in the early stages of development.
