Even seasoned journalists can still have their fan moments.

Award-winning broadcast journalist and University of the Philippines College of Media and Communication faculty member Kara David admitted she was delighted to meet Vice Ganda following the comedian and television host’s appearance as commencement speaker during the college’s graduation ceremonies.

Sharing a photo with Vice on social media, Kara said she came away not only thrilled by the encounter but also deeply moved by the message delivered to the graduating class.

“Na-starstruck ako nung makita ko siya. Napahanga ako nung marinig ko siya,” she wrote, thanking Vice for sharing words of encouragement with the new graduates before ending her post with, “Padayon!”

Vice’s commencement speech drew praise from students and faculty alike, with Kara’s heartfelt message becoming one of the many tributes celebrating the entertainer’s memorable appearance at the UP ceremony.
