CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Police Regional Office 3 reported that an intelligence-driven operation by the Bataan Police Provincial Office on 16 February 2026 led to the arrest of a suspect for violating gun laws and the confiscation of several firearms and ammunition in Balanga City, Bataan.
Under the leadership of Provincial Director PCOL Marites A. Salvadora, joint operatives from the Balanga City Police Station, Bataan Police Intelligence Unit, and the Philippine National Police Special Action Force 2nd Special Action Battalion implemented a search warrant at Manalaotao Street, Barangay Cupang Proper.
The operation resulted in the arrest of the suspect and the seizure of the following items:
One Colt MK IV caliber .45 pistol with one magazine and 22 live rounds of ammunition
One caliber .38 revolver
Four live 12-gauge rounds
One gun holster for a caliber .45 pistol
One caliber .22 “Valiente” rifle
One caliber .22 “Sharp Innova” rifle
One red sling bag
One brown checkered sling bag
Salvadora confirmed that the arrested individual and the confiscated items are under the custody of the Balanga City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition. Charges for violation of Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, are being prepared against the suspect.
The Bataan PNP, under PRO3, reiterated its commitment to intensify operations against illegal firearms and criminality to sustain peace and order in the province.
