Pwersa ng Pilipinong Pandagat Partylist Rep. Harold Duterte on Wednesday afternoon, 18 February, hailed his cousin Vice President Sara Duterte as a “battle-tested leader” following her decision to run for president in the 2028 polls.
“We are proud to support VP Sara Z. Duterte in her bid for the Presidency in 2028,” Rep. Duterte said of his cousin.
“She is a proven and battle-tested leader who will continue to fight for the country and its people. Despite the challenges and personal attacks that she has faced in office, she continues to serve, without much fanfare, and just gets the job done,” the neophyte congressman said.
“As the Philippines is at a critical point of its history, we stand behind the Vice President, and hope that she can lead us out of the scandals that have rocked the current administration,” he added.
The solon said: “Atong gipangandoy nga si VP Sara Z. Duterte and mahimong sunod nga president sa nasud (It is our hope that VP Sara will become our next president).”
Rep. Duterte is a member of the so-called Davao bloc in the 300-plus strong House of Representatives of the Philippines.
Members of the bloc include Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte, Davao City 2nd District Rep. Omar Duterte, and Davao City 3rd District Rep. Isidro Ungab.
