Tension gripped the wedding reception of Zanjoe Marudo and Ria Atayde when Robi Domingo and John Lloyd Cruz nearly got physical with each other.
In his YouTube vlog, Ogie Diaz shared that the near-brawl encounter between the two was spared from public viewing as all those in the reception were given pouches where they were asked to place all their cellphones.
“It was the request of the newlyweds that no one will take a video,” Diaz said in Filipino.
“The couple wanted them to enjoy, get drunk, vomit when they get drunk but there would be no video to record it,” Diaz added.
One of the hosts in the reception was Robi. Among those present were Daniel Padilla, Kaila Estrada, Kathryn Bernardo, Donny Pangilinan and many others.
“So, while Domingo was hosting, he asked Ria, ‘How does it feel do be Mrs. Marudo?’ and asked Zanjoe, ‘How does if feel to be Mr. Atayde?’
The couple just laughed at Domingo and so did everyone in the reception.
Apparently, there was one guest who took offense at Domingo’s question — John Lloyd — who approached him and reportedly said: ‘Mali ‘yung sinabi mo, inappropriate ‘yung sinabi mo. Okay ba ‘yung sinabi mo na tawagin mong Mr. Atayde (si Zanjoe)? (What you said was wrong, it was inappropriate. Is it okay for you to call Zanjoe Mr. Atayde?)”
“Do we have an issue here?” Robi retorted.
“Why, what do you want to do?” Cruz answered.

ABS-CBN’s primetime series Roja, which is also now airing on Kapamilya Channel on ALLTV2, opens the new year with a bang with the release of an explosive mid-season trailer as Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri take their fight scenes to greater heights.
The series also reached a new all-time high online record with 541,446 peak concurrent viewers on Kapamilya Online Live for its Monday (5 January) episode.
Currently in the Top 10 list of TV shows in the Philippines on Netflix and iWant, Roja promises more high-stakes action and shocking plot twists as Liam (Donny) and Olsen (Kyle), along with Luna (Maymay Entrata), join forces with the police and fight tooth and nail in order to escape from the La Playa Roja resort that is heavily guarded by hostage-takers.
Along with the ongoing siege, more thrilling revelations will also unfold among the victims as the feud between husband and wife, Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing) and Greta (Lorna Tolentino), intensifies when dark secrets from their past begin to surface — hinting at a possible love triangle involving Wendy (Janice De Belen), Greta’s good friend and Olsen’s mother. With this new development, suspicions will also arise regarding the true identity of Olsen’s father.
