The spotlight is set for the grandest night in Philippine music as the 38th Awit Awards powered by VIBE honors the finest in Original Pilipino Music (OPM). Bringing together icons, innovators, and fans, this year’s celebration redefines what it means to be #LEGIT in today’s music scene—bridging legacy and modern creativity in one unforgettable showcase.

A legacy reimagined

For nearly four decades, the Awit Awards has stood as the ultimate symbol of credibility and artistry in the Philippine music industry. Presented by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI), it remains the benchmark of excellence, recognizing talent not for fame, but for genuine artistry, influence, and innovation.

Now, through a groundbreaking partnership with MQuest Ventures’ (MQV) youth-driven platform VIBE, the awards embrace a bold transformation. The collaboration aims to bring OPM closer to the next generation—making it accessible, inclusive, and deeply interactive. By merging the trusted prestige of the Awit Awards with VIBE’s digital dynamism, Filipino music enters a new era where tradition meets tomorrow.

The vision of Mr. M

Under the creative direction of industry titan Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan, the 38th edition transcends a typical awards night. It becomes a celebration of cultural pride, creative excellence, and community spirit. Beyond recognizing this year’s best performances and recordings, the show also pays tribute to the legends of OPM whose artistry continues to inspire the nation.

A star-powered celebration

Leading the night are the VIBE Jocks—Dylan Menor, Elijah Canlas, Joao Constancia, Ana Ramsey, Maxie Andreison, Ryle Santiago, Paulo Angeles, Kych Minemoto, and Queenay Mercado—who will energize the stage with a powerful opening number and host the show’s main program. They’ll be joined by the Gen V correspondents, offering fans exclusive behind-the-scenes content, interviews, and moments that capture the energy of the evening.

The awards night promises stunning performances from OPM’s brightest acts, including Ben&Ben, Over October, Lola Amour, and Dionela—each bringing their unique sound to celebrate the diversity and soul of Filipino music.

Honoring excellence

The 38th Awit Awards recognizes musical achievements across five major divisions: Performance Awards, Genre Recording Awards, Special Recording Awards, Technical Achievement Awards, and the Grand Awards. Every nomination undergoes rigorous evaluation by a distinguished panel of judges composed of veterans in music production, songwriting, performance, and media—ensuring that each award represents authenticity, artistry, and impact.

The violet carpet experience

Adding to the excitement is the Violet Carpet, an immersive reimagining of the traditional red carpet. Designed as a space for interaction and creativity, it allows fans and artists to connect, share stories, and celebrate together in a vibrant, media-rich environment that embodies the energy of the VIBE generation.

More than an award show — A movement

The 38th Awit Awards powered by VIBE isn’t just a single-night spectacle—it’s a movement that empowers and unites. Through year-round initiatives, digital engagement, and youth-centered storytelling, it ensures that the passion for OPM continues to thrive across generations.

As Filipino music evolves, the Awit Awards remains steadfast in its purpose: to honor excellence, nurture talent, and celebrate the music that defines our identity.

The 38th Awit Awards powered by VIBE takes place on November 16, 2025, at the Meralco Theater. Fans can tune in live via TV5 or stream through the official pages of VIBE PH, MQuest Ventures, and the Awit Awards.
