Kris Aquino gets candid on the reason for her social media hiatus.

“On purpose matagal akong hindi nag upload. I have to admit if I told you what was happening, some of you may stop praying because my autoimmune diseases were increasing in number & my life-threatening ailments needed me to make a brave choice. Trust me it's difficult to accept every night when I sleep that there may be no tomorrow for me,” she wrote.

She added that she has come to a decision after almost two months of staying at a private beach owned by “a kind and generous family” who want her to regain her health, as well as strengthen her faith in God’s merciful healing power.

“I have another 6-8 hr. infusion session in 6 days. It's one of the strongest autoimmune immunosuppressants together with my two others, 1 taken daily and 1 given via injection, it will totally wipe out my immunity... I will be in preventive isolation for 6 months,” Kris said.

She’ll live in their Tarlac compound, whom she and her Cojuangco cousins call Alto.

Her eldest son, she admits, has been traumatized. “Since the deaths of his Lola Cory, Lola P, and Tito Noy, seeing me frail, weak, often attached to my IV drip — Kuya is traumatized, visibly shaking, repeating ‘Mama get well, I love you.”

For now, Josh is living with Kris’ “genuinely super loving cousin.”

Kris calls Bimby, now 18 years-old, “heaven’s gift” and an “optimistic adult” who reminds her that she should never surrender.

After a few more scheduled tests and treatments and her recuperation, Kris and Bimby are ready to reveal all and show everything for the first time.

“PLEASE CONTINUE PRAYING kailangan na kailangan ko,” she said.

Kris thanked both Makati Med and St. Luke's BGC, her doctors, their fellows and residents, the nurses assigned to her in the hospitals as well as the many skilled technicians operating the high tech machinery, and all those who continue to believe “gagaling pa rin ako.”
