Police in Caloocan City said Tuesday they arrested two suspected drug personalities on Monday after they allegedly sold illegal drugs to undercover officers.
The suspects were apprehended in a buy-bust operation along Taksay Street in Barangay 28 on Monday afternoon, according to Police Lieutenant Restie Mables, head of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Caloocan City Police.
Mables identified the suspects as alias “Ferdinand” and alias “Ronald.” During the operation, police said they recovered at least 250 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P1.7 million.
He also disclosed that the two suspects traveled from Antipolo City to Caloocan City to deliver the illegal drugs.
“Our asset was able to purchase illegal drugs from them (suspects) before, which led to the conduct of the buy-bust operation,” authorities said.
An initial 25 grams of suspected shabu was the target of the buy-bust. Following the arrest, police recovered an additional 100 grams from Ferdinand and 125 grams from Ronald.
