A fire in a residential area in Pasay City resulted to the death of four people and two were injured in Barangay 177 in Malibay, Pasay City on Saturday morning.

Initial report claimed two were reported dead and one was missing, according to Senior Fire Officer I Resmond Germino, chief public information officer of the Pasay City Fire Station.

But at past 10 AM, Germino said four bodies were already retrieved: a mother, her 7-year-old son, her 14-year-old niece, and her brother-in-law.

Two residents had minor injuries — one, a first-degree burn, and the other sustained a wound on the feet, Germino added.

Report showed the fire broke out before dawn in a row of houses on Esteban Street near the creek and what residents call Flores Tulay.

It spread quickly as the houses were made of light materials.

The third alarm was raised by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) as the fire rages.
