Actor Marvin Agustin expressed his excitement on social media about his reunion movie with his iconic on-screen partner, Jolina Magdangal.
On Instagram, Agustin posted a video featuring himself alongside his original Gimik co-stars.
“Mula bata hanggang ngayong mukha pa din kaming mga bata, suportahan! Salamat sa pagmamahal GIMIK barkada,” he wrote in the caption adding, “#MarJo labsyu so so so much guys!!!”
"Gimik," a popular teen-oriented program that aired on ABS-CBN from 1996 to 1999, launched the careers of several stars, including Mylene Dizon, G Töengi, Dominic Ochoa, and Judy Ann Santos.
Agustin and Magdangal were one of the most beloved love teams of the 1990s, starring in memorable films like Labs Kita… Okey Ka Lang? (1998), Kung Ayaw Mo Huwag Mo (1998), and Hey Babe! (1999).
Their upcoming movie, Ex Ex Lovers, also stars Juan Karlos and Loisa Andalio. Directed by JP Habac, the film blends nostalgia with fresh twists for both longtime fans and a new generation.
Ex Ex Lovers is set to hit cinemas on 12 February.
