Talent manager and vlogger Ogie Diaz related on his YouTube vlog that ex-couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla met at the backstage of ABS-CBN Christmas Special.
“According to my source, nagkita ang dalawa. Nagkita sila backstage, sa dressing room. Bigla raw may dalang flowers itong si DJ. Kumatok sa dressing room. Pinapasok. Naglabasan ang glam team ni Kathryn at hinayaan ang dalawa na makapag-usap (According to my source, the two saw each other. They saw each other backstage, in the dressing room. Daniel brought flowers. He knocked at the dressing room. He was allowed to go inside. The glam team of Kathryn left the room and allowed them to talk),” Diaz said.
This reached KathNiel fans and they were infuriated. One fan even claimed that It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda was Diaz’s source.
“Nadadamay si Meme Vice. Sabi ng isang content creator si meme daw nagtimbre kay D ikaw daw may sabi (Meme Vice is being dragged by one content creator who said meme tipped D),” said @Aishu1971 on X (formerly Twitter).
This is quite strange because Vice Ganda never got herself embroiled in any issues between Bernardo and Padilla.
There were also talks on X that Bernardo was infuriated that she threw the flowers that Padilla gave.
Diaz addressed the issue on his X account.
“Wala po akong sinabi sa vlog ko na itinapon ni Kath ang flowers na peace offering ni Dj. Wala pa nga silang reaksyon kung true or not (I didn’t say in my vlog that Kath threw the flowers that were the peace offering of Dj. They don’t even have a reaction if it’s true or not),” he said.
He also advised fans to stop speculating.
“Hayaan niyong sila mismo ang mag-deny sa dressing room moment, wag kayo. Hehehe (Let them make the denial themselves, not you),” he said.
