Actress Andrea Brillantes took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as she recalled her early beginnings in show business, including an unforgettable audition for GMA Network's Marimar that left her speechless upon seeing Marian Rivera.

During her guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Andrea shared how her childhood experience with the Kapuso network became part of her journey toward becoming one of her generation's most recognizable young actresses.

When host Boy Abunda asked about her memories of GMA Network, Andrea revealed that she was only around three or four years old when she attended what she remembers as her first audition.

“I was around 3 to 4 years old para sa first audition ko and it was for Marimar,” Andrea recalled.

However, the young Andrea found herself overwhelmed by the experience, especially when she came face-to-face with the show's leading lady, Marian Rivera.

“Kaso nung time na iyon mahiyain pa ako at hindi pa ako masyadong nakakapagsalita sa harap ng maraming tao lalo na nung makita ko si Miss Marian (Rivera). Super na-starstruck ako, nakalimutan ko na po lahat ng lines ko,” she admitted.

The actress's amusing recollection offered a glimpse of her personality before she became comfortable performing in front of cameras and large audiences.

Despite that early moment of nervousness, Andrea eventually found her place in television, building a career that began during her childhood.

She also remembered appearing in the GMA drama series Cielo de Angelina, which she identified as her first television project with the network.

“Sa Cielo de Angelina, I think I was around 9. That was before Anna Liza. Iyan iyong first ever show ko sa GMA,” she shared.

Her appearance in Cielo de Angelina became one of the early milestones in her acting career before she gained wider recognition through the television series Annaliza.

From being a shy little girl who forgot her audition lines after meeting a television superstar, Andrea eventually developed the confidence and acting skills that helped establish her name in Philippine entertainment.

Her recollections also highlighted how her professional journey has connected her with different television networks and generations of performers.

Now an established actress with numerous television projects to her credit, Andrea can look back at those early experiences with appreciation and amusement.

What began as a nerve-racking childhood audition has become a memorable chapter in her story, reminding audiences that even today's biggest young stars once experienced the excitement and nervousness of meeting their idols.
