Sauron’s greatest weapon is forged

The battle for Middle-earth reaches a turning point as Sauron moves closer to creating the weapon that could change the fate of all realms in the newly released trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3.
Prime Video unveiled the first look at the upcoming season, teasing the forging of the One Ring, the rise of Sauron’s forces, and the growing conflict among Elves, Dwarves, Men and Wizards as they face the Dark Lord’s attempt to conquer Middle-earth.
Set five years after the fall of Eregion, the new season finds Middle-earth in the middle of an escalating war. Sauron’s armies have spread across the land, leaving only a few strongholds standing against his growing power, including Khazad-dûm, Lindon and Rivendell.
In Mordor, Sauron works from his newly completed fortress of Barad-dûr, determined to create the ultimate weapon: the One Ring that could give him control over all life in Middle-earth.
The trailer also teases the return of several key storylines, including the Elves’ struggle to protect their realms, tensions within the Dwarven kingdom of Khazad-dûm, and political unrest threatening to divide Númenor.
Meanwhile, in the eastern lands of Rhûn, Gandalf embraces his magical abilities as he fights to help turn the tide against the coming darkness.
Season 3 introduces the Nazgnagôl, Sauron’s terrifying Ring-servants, as his influence continues to spread across Middle-earth. With alliances tested and kingdoms on the brink of collapse, the free peoples must unite before the Dark Lord achieves his goal of domination.
Produced by showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, the third season brings back the epic fantasy series based on the legendary Second Age of J.R.R. Tolkien’s world, set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
The first four episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3 premiere on 11 November exclusively on Prime Video, with succeeding episodes released weekly until the finale on 25 November.
