    Childhood #verbal ab*se may be just as damaging to long-term mental health as physical ab*se, a major #UK study involving more than 20,000 adults suggests. Researchers found those who experienced verbal or physical ab*se were about 50 percent more likely to report poor mental well-being in adulthood, while exposure to both more than doubled the risk.
