There’s no letting up for the Philippine junior fencing team.
More than 30,000 visitors gathered at SM Mall of Asia on 22 and 23 August for Korea Travel Fiesta 2026, organized by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Manila Office. Under the theme “Your Winter Playground,” the two-day celebration showcased Korea’s destinations, culture, food, K-Beauty, and winter experiences while encouraging Filipinos to discover more beyond Seoul.
A major highlight was the event’s star-studded entertainment lineup, featuring Korean and Filipino artists who brought energy and excitement to the weekend. K-pop singer Bae Jin Young joined the opening ceremony, while acclaimed Korean hip-hop dance crew BANK TWO BROTHERS delivered high-energy performances. Filipino singer Gwyn Dorado also took the stage, showcasing her distinctive vocal talent to the enthusiastic crowd.
Internationally acclaimed Korean performance group NANTA further entertained audiences with its signature mix of comedy, music, rhythm, and dynamic stage performances. The Korea Taekwondo Association also showcased Korea’s traditional martial arts through an impressive demonstration.
Filipino television personality and host Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, actor Jason Francisco, and their children, Mela and Stella Francisco, also joined the celebration. Their participation highlighted Korea’s appeal as a destination for Filipino families.
Beyond the performances, KTO’s K-Creators Club shared their personal experiences exploring Korea, while visitors enjoyed interactive zones featuring Korean destinations, travel opportunities, culture, K-Beauty, and cuisine.
The Korean Cultural Center added to the experience with Hanbok activities and Life4Cuts photo sessions, giving visitors the chance to dress in traditional Korean attire and take home Korea-inspired keepsakes.
The event also brought together 24 industry partners, including travel agencies, online travel operators, airlines, ski resorts, and financial institutions, offering travel information, exclusive packages, and promotions for Filipinos planning their next Korean adventure.
With its mix of music, dance, culture, and immersive experiences, Korea Travel Fiesta 2026 gave Filipino audiences not just a glimpse of Korea, but plenty of reasons to start planning their next trip.
