Barbie Forteza is embracing single life with confidence, making it clear that she has no plans to rush into another relationship. More than a year after her highly publicized breakup, the award-winning Kapuso actress shared that her focus remains on personal growth, her family, and the career she continues to build.

Speaking candidly during the media conference for her upcoming film Saving Cherry, Forteza said she is not actively searching for romance because she wants to fully invest in herself first.

“I haven’t even thought about or wished to fall in love again because I want to pour all of my love into myself first.”

The actress also revealed that she takes relationships seriously and has never believed in dating without long-term intentions.

“I don’t casually date. I date to marry. Until I’m ready and I’m really, really sure about the person I’m going to go out with, I won’t date.”

Although she spoke about marriage, Forteza admitted she has imagined tying the knot in Las Vegas while wearing a Vera Wang gown, joking that the location would make divorce an option. Her lighthearted remark drew laughter from members of the entertainment press.

When asked whether someone who cheats deserves another chance, Forteza gave a firm and unfiltered response.

“F*ck, no! Thank you!”

Despite the relationship questions, the actress is keeping her attention on work as she prepares for the release of Saving Cherry. The Regal Entertainment film features an ensemble cast that includes Khalil Ramos, Mikee Quintos, Mika Salamanca, Sassa Gurl, AC Bonifacio, and JC Alcantara.

Saving Cherry is scheduled to open in cinemas nationwide on 2 September.
