The world of Blade Runner is returning to screens this November with a new story set decades after the events of Blade Runner 2049.
At San Diego Comic-Con, Prime Video unveiled the first teaser trailer for Blade Runner 2099 and announced that all eight episodes of the limited series will premiere globally on November 25, 2026.
Set 50 years after Blade Runner 2049, the series follows Cora (Hunter Schafer), a fugitive who assumes one final identity as a Blade Runner in a desperate bid to stop running. She is forced to team up with Olwen (Michelle Yeoh), a Replicant nearing the end of her lifespan, as they search for a runaway whose secret could bring down the fragile future of Los Angeles.
Joining Yeoh and Schafer are series regulars Dimitri Abold and Lewis Gribben, with Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Matthew Needham, Tom Burke and Maurizio Lombardi appearing in recurring roles.
The series is led by showrunner Silka Luisa, with Blade Runner filmmaker Ridley Scott serving as an executive producer. Jonathan van Tulleken directed the first two episodes of the sci-fi drama.
