Matthew Needham, best known for playing Larys Strong in HBO’s House of the Dragon, has been cast as the new voice of the Joker in season two of Batman: Caped Crusader.
The announcement was made during San Diego Comic-Con, where fans also got their first look at the Clown Prince of Crime’s latest animated incarnation. According to the creative team, this version of the Joker will feature a darker and more unsettling interpretation than previous portrayals.
Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 premieres on 31 July, with all 10 episodes releasing simultaneously. Needham will also voice the Joker in the upcoming video game Batman: Caped Crusader Chronicles, launching the same day.
